A life on the road in music...

Greetings Everyone-

Well, If you've ever wondered what life is like behind the mixing board, traveling the world, and collaborating with some incredible talents, you're in the right place. This blog is my personal space to share some of these experiences with you – the ups, the downs, and everything that makes this journey in audio engineering so fascinating.

Traversing the Global Soundscape:

My career as an Audio Engineer has been a passport to some amazing places.  My work has taken me across five continents, from the focused hush of recording studios to the high energy bliss of international live shows. Each destination has taught me something new about sound, music, cinema, and the ways they connect us across cultures.  I've learned a lot about how to travel in style and on a budget.

Connecting through Sound:

What really makes this job special are the people I meet along the way. Building relationships with other engineers, artists, film makers, and members of the music community has been the real highlight. It's about sharing knowledge, experiences, and the love of music and film.

Behind Every Mix:

Every project, whether it's live sound engineering or studio work, is a unique puzzle to solve. It's not just about the technical side of things; it's about capturing the heart of each performance, understanding what the artist wants to convey, and bringing that to the audience in the most authentic way possible.

Current Projects and New Horizons:

Right now, I'm juggling a variety of projects.  In my current work touring with musicians like Buddy Guy and ventures into the world of film audio, I find myself constantly learning and evolving. These experiences are not just about professional growth; they're about contributing to and growing with the music community.including some exciting collaborations and audio work for independent films. These projects keep me on my toes, always learning, always exploring new aspects of sound and music.

Why I Started This Blog:

I wanted to create a place where I could share the real stories from a life spent in audio engineering. This blog is for anyone who shares a passion for music and sound, whether you're in the industry, an aspiring engineer, or just curious about what goes on behind the scenes. I hope to offer a glimpse into this world and maybe inspire a few of you along the way.

Thanks for stopping by, and I can't wait to share more of my adventures with you.

Cheers
